Registration and Fees

Early bird registration was possible until 10 May 2023. Registration closed on 15 June 2023.

¹Becoming a Member: This rate applies to conference participants who are becoming an ESRA member for the first time or renewing their expired membership. The membership status can be checked in the Conference Management System.

²Reduced rate: Participants who are unable to afford the full rate due to various circumstances (e.g. due to the academic financial resources of their institution or the social and economic situation in their home country) are free to opt for the reduced rate.

³Student rate: This rate applies to conference participants who are enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, Ph.D. or equivalent programme.

Cancellation Policy

Notification of cancellation must be submitted to the ESRA Scientific Committee via email at conference@europeansurveyresearch.org. If you cancel before 1 July 2023, there will be an administrative fee of 100 €. There will be no refunds for cancellations after 1 July 2023.

Food and Beverages

Every coffee break offers a selection of cold and warm drinks and snacks.

For lunch, we offer a variety of options that you can select when registering to the conference.

Packed lunch

Each packed lunch costs 16 € and includes: water, fruit, and dessert.

Conference Dinner

The ESRA23 Conference dinner takes place at the restaurant Osteria del Treno, Address: Via San Gregorio, 46 – 20124 Milano (Italy) on Thursday, 20 July 2023 at 19:30.

Please note that a maximum of 200 seats are available.

When registering to the conference, you will be asked to select your menu. It will not be possible to select a different menu on the evening of the dinner.

Menus

Each menu costs 72 € and includes: still or sparkling water, white or red wine (1 bottle for 3 participants), beer (up to 2 bottles of 33cl for each participant), and coffee. Other extras must be paid individually.

Meat menu

• Antipasto Milanese
• Risotto with pumpkin flowers, zucchini and stracchino
• Veal wrapped in Sauris Speck
• Chocolate mousse in cake with pistachio grains of Bronte

Vegetarian menu

• Vezzena cheese, salva cheese, marinated zucchini, robiola cream and millefoglie of aubergines and chickpeas
• Risotto with zucchini, mint and local stracchino
• Chickpea meatballs, lentil salad and sautéed endive

Milan City Tours

Guided walking tours in Milan will be offered on Tuesday, 18 July and Wednesday, 19 July. Each tour costs 15 €. The tours will be in English, include individual radio guides, and last approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes. The tours operate in all weather conditions, no refund will be possible in case of rain. Detailed information about the starting point of the tours will be provided to registered participants.

The Secrets of Milan

Walking tour in the city centre to discover wonderful monuments (external only): Castello Sforzesco, Via Dante, the Cathedral, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza della Scala. You will discover many secrets and curiosities about these iconic spots of Milan.

Navigli District

Walking tour in the Navigli district, the most striking area of Milan! We will see Sant’Eustorgio Church, named “The Church of the Magi”, we will discover all the secrets of Navigli, many traditions of the medieval city, and narrow city corners like Vicolo Lavandai.

Milan Ghost Tour

An entertainment tour in the city centre. We will discover stories about historical figures who lived in Milan whose lives ended in violent deaths.

Sforza Castle Tour & Brera District

Castello Sforzesco tour (external only) & Brera district (Brera Art Gallery not included): discover the court of the Visconti and Sforza, and then shuffle through the alleys of Brera, one of the most evocative districts of Milan!

Milan Liberty

A walking tour in the Quadrilatero del Silenzio (near Porta Venezia) to discover Liberty Style architectural treasures (external only, the decorations are on the facades, such as Casa Galimberti). You will discover hidden spots like the garden of flamingos (visible from the outside, it’s a private property) and the famous Milan ear-shaped intercom.
